Finding the Perfect Lash
DEEP SET OR SMALL EYES
For an eye that is set deep into the socket or has very little lid space, select styles that contain long, sparse and fluffy fibers that will help open eyes. Thick, more voluminous lashes can make the eyes appear closed, so less is more.
Round eyes are circular in appearance. To bring focus to the center of the eye, choose dramatic lashes that fan upwards and contain long middle fibers.
Hooded eyes are characterized by a fold of skin that covers the socket line. This happens with age but can also be attributed to genetics. Use more natural lash styles to open the eye without overpowering.
Shallow eyes have the opposite effect as hooded eyes in that the lid is one continuous area with no visible fold in the socket line. This is also known as a “flat” eye. This eyeshape is quite versatile so experiment with many different lash styles, particularly ones that have a lot of curl and flare on the outer edges.
Considered the most universal eye shape, the almond eye is characterized by equal proportions and most generally features a visible lid when eyes are open. This is another versatile eye shape that works with most lash styles. Try lashes with a flared outer corner for a little extra kick.
